Statement from the board of Directors at the Index Group due to COVID -19

Following the UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson’s announcement on the evening of 23rd March, like all UK businesses we have been closely monitoring the impact that COVID-19 is having on our business, our colleagues, customers and business partners.

We are very much aware and respectful of the Government’s message that all UK citizens and businesses must play their part to protect the most vulnerable in our society and to ensure that the NHS has the ability to care for the inevitable, an increased number of patients that will be affected by the virus in the coming days and weeks. For these reasons, the Directors have taken the decision, as a non-essential organisation in these unprecedented times, to suspend all operations with immediate effect.

We will have a small skeleton office crew (they will be working from home with obvious restrictions, so please allow extra time for a suitable response), but all operational and pre event support normally required for your event will be resumed as soon as possible when a clearer picture of this situation unfolds. It is our intention to service requirements for the events which have been postponed as soon as the government announces it is safe time to resume normal operational working.

This action will be reviewed in 3 weeks and ongoing as advised by the UK Government as necessary.

We trust we will have your support in this decision and we wish all of you a safe journey through this testing period.
